Thanks for your support!
A big thankyou to everyone who came along and joined in the celebrations for 50 years of the Class 14. We hope you enjoyed the long weekend of 0-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic action as much as we did. It was fantastic to see so many turn out to welcome D9537 back into traffic on Friday after more than two decades. Naturally, the Saturday Night 'Bear-Ex' was "one of those moments", D9523 suffered a serious failure on Friday and was unable to take any futher part in the event, so the Deca-header became a Nona-header - 9 locos with a combined 5,850 horsepower .. the sight and sound surpassed all expectations, enough said! The culmination of over 2 years work by a great many people, too many to mention individually, but we're grateful to everyone who made it happen. We look forward to seeing your photos and video links through the usual channels using the #14sAT50 tag.

Despite not being able to thank everyone personally, the Event Committee would like to record a special note of thanks to the East Lancashire Railway for their assistance in bringing 14s@50 from what some thought was a crazy idea to a fantastic reality.
To all the volunteers and staff at the ELR, a very big Thankyou.
